Senior Algorithm Engineer

Cognata is at the forefront of the explosive growth of the autonomous vehicle industry – fusing Deep Neural Networks, Big Data algorithms, and 3D simulation/mapping to succeed in a massive undertaking – supporting the full product life cycle of developing Autonomous Vehicles, to be rolled out in the real world, after being rigorously tested in billions of miles of simulated driving.

We’re looking for a highly talented and Senior Algorithm Engineer, reporting to the CTO. In this role, you will be responsible for designing & implementing hands-on production-grade systems & algorithms. The candidate must be curious, energetic, hard-working, and thorough while maintaining and contributing to our strong start-up can-do culture.

Responsibilities

• 50%/50% Infrastructure code & Algorithm Development
• Develop algorithmic code, implemented locally and in a cloud environment, for example driving control algorithms, sensor models, and etc…
• Develop algorithmic infrastructure code in python. for example, sensor model validation schemes, data annotation, and etc…
• Develop and maintain novel data visualization techniques
• Contribute with Planning and reviewing designs, code

Qualifications

Must

• B.Sc in, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent (Physics is a big plus)
• 5 years experience with practical Algorithms Development
• Strong background in mathematics specifically statistics
• 5 years experience with Python
• Highly motivated team player & willing to learn
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
