Family Matters: Cognata’s Holiday Special

A family-friendly workplace is one thing, but what is it like to be working
with family?

Celebrating Israel’s Family day today, we have decided to ask the families
in Cognata famous, (not-so-)serious, interview questions they never got to
experience.

[Danny Atsmon – Alon Atsmon, brothers]

Danny, If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island, but all your human
needs—such as food and water—were taken care of, what two items would you
want to have with you?

״I’m taking my guitar to chill and my painting block – you are on a
deserted island – get your creative juices going! Maybe I’ll throw in
a LEGO model…..”

Alon, If there was a famous person who is no longer with us, who you could
meet/pick their brains, who would it be?

“Most likely Steve Jobs. I would have liked to name the next
products I invent after my daughters, Lali and Gaia, as he did with
Apple Lisa. I find that very fatherly.”

[Guy Tsafrir – Ilan Tsafrir, brothers]

Family in Cognata 3 - Family Matters: Cognata’s Holiday Special

Guy, you’ve been given an elephant. You can’t give it away or sell it.
What
would you do with the elephant?

“Obviously you put it in the fridge. The other option is to invite 3 of
his friends and take them for a ride in an autonomous Volkswagen
beetle.”

Ilan, who do you think would have won in a battle between Spiderman
and Batman?

“Hands-down Batman. He invented the Kryptonite bullet, just in
case Superman would ever betray him, so he probably has a backup
plan for each superhero ever existed.”

[Or Amir Attar – Omer Amir Alcalay, sisters]

Or, If you could choose a superpower, which would you choose?
Flying or invisibility?

“Definitely flying! It’s the lowest of the low-cost, you can just go
shopping wherever you want in the blink of an eye, eat croissants
in Paris…. Oh, it also saves a lot of traffic jams!

Omer, if you were shrunk to the size of a pencil and put in a blender,
how would you get out?

“Why get out? After trying to maneuver between all of the sharp
knives, I will come out as a shining, sharpened pencil, twisted in all
the right places.”

[Pablo Kohan – Nitsan Kohan, father & son]

Family in Cognata 2 - Family Matters: Cognata’s Holiday Special

Pablo, what was the last gift you gave someone?

“The best thing I could give a person is a full belly. When I come to
think of it, I never made something normal, though. I usually just
make up a dish, cross my fingers, and hope for the best.”

Nitzan, Would you rather ride a giraffe to work or an elephant?
What are the advantages and drawbacks of your preferred
method of transportation?

Giraffes are a little too tall and don’t have much of a solid back,
do they? It slopes down at an angle. To me, it looks like you’d
slide right off its hind end. I’m not trying to fall off of a skyscraper!
An elephant is tall too, but it got a nice wide back that looks like it
probably feels like you’re sitting on the roof of a building.
Still high up, but solidly planted.”
