The sensors and algorithms used in autonomous driving above L3 level have
very high requirements for real-time calculation and synchronous
communication. Without a central computing unit (domain controller) with
excellent performance, only relying on traditional discrete ECU and more
centralized MCU will not effectively reduce the complexity and cost of
E / E architecture. The emergence of centralized domain controller computing
units can integrate different processors, accelerate various redundant algorithms,
meet the needs of multi-sensor data fusion, and effectively reduce the system
complexity and cost.
