Cognata Joins Smart Cars and Smart Cities Collaborative Development Forum in China

October 27, 2020 — The Smart Car and Smart City Collaborative Development Forum and Alliance Annual Conference, featuring an exhibition of Cognata’s large scale simulation for automated driving , took place in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, with fruitful results!

The National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Wuhan) Test Demonstration Zone has entered the second phase. The Zone promotes the construction of smart cars and smart cities. Leading companies and research institutions in the fields of vehicles, components, communications, new energy, smart transportation, and artificial intelligence need to be integrated across boundaries for unified consensus, and coordinated advancement.

More than 200 technical experts and industry leaders from the automotive industry, IT industry, scientific research institutions, and beyond gathered together to share the latest innovations in their respective fields.

A local team of experts from Cognata presented the company’s latest initiatives, led by Cognata’s head of research and development Sergio Nacht. The research will be focused on automatic driving virtual tests containing large-scale highly-accurate digital twins with realistic Chinese characteristics and simulated local traffic flow models. The end goal is to strengthen the integration of software architecture and customized development, so as to contribute toward solving the critical challenges of simulation specifically for the Chinese market.

We are looking forward to this massive-scale, meaningful project and promise to keep updating with more news as it progresses.
