Cognata and Ouster, a provider of high-resolution LiDAR sensors for
autonomous vehicles, have partnered up in order to further develop an
accurate virtual LiDAR model in Cognata’s simulation software.
This will enable Ouster’s customers to simulate LiDAR’s performance in
different simulations and edge cases, and to feed their perception stacks
with fully annotated 3D point clouds.
Ouster’s digital LiDAR technology has practical applications beyond
autonomous vehicles and extends to areas such as industrial automation,
smart cities and robotics.
